Movement teachers working in an online environment have a unique set of challenges to overcome. Much of this pedagogy is built on observing the subtleties of how the whole body moves and giving instruction with a whispered encouragement, or a gentle touch.  While teaching online limits much of this, there is still a lot of vital work that can be done if properly approached. Many important conversations were started in the Movement Breakout Session of the Virtual Symposium on Online Theatre Education; this event is an opportunity for movement teachers to continue that dialogue.
